Greetings dear friends and family. My trip to Asia to film for the Buddhist World Prayer Video went really well. I have been to Asia about ten times or so but this trip was about as good as I have had. First of all, no one got sick! Considering as much street food as we ate in almost three weeks in Southeast Asia, I was really happy we all stayed well.

Also, we really had some really great opportunities to film. We went to remote  villages as well as some of the world's largest cities, including Tokyo, Japan. We were allowed to enter many Buddhist temples to film inside. And we got lots of good face shots. Thanks so much to all who have helped make this DVD project  possible. The DVD will open with the following paragraph:

Thailand is a rich and colorful land filled with history and diversity. But it is its religion that stands out above all else. On any given day, Buddhist worshippers can be seen giving lotus offerings in the local wat and saffron-robed monks seen making early morning rounds to   receive alms. “To be Thai is to be Buddhist,” an old saying goes. In some parts of Thailand, there are actually more Buddhist temples than Christian          believers. Be it in a dusty village or on the crowded city streets   of Bangkok, Buddhism patiently and persistently works its way into the lives Thailand’s many inhabitants.

But as good as the trip was, I can say after three weeks away from my family, “There is no place like home.” While I was in Asia, Rosa was able to share at a church in Monterrey. She was also the featured speaker at a youth retreat there.

Dear Friends and Family,

Tecate Women’s Conference

Most of you are aware that my parents are missionaries in Mexico. They have been used by the Lord for over thirty years to bless the people there. One of the ministries they have is an annual women’s conference. Rosa has been asked to be the main speaker for this year’s conference. So the first part of June we will be heading to Tecate, Mexico for this great opportunity.

In closing, we want to let you know that Rosa’s interview with the U.S. immigration authorities for her citizenship went really well. We are now just waiting for a letter that will tell us when and where her swearing in ceremony will be.

May the Lord Bless You,

Prayer points

· Pray for our upcoming trip to Tecate, Mexico where Rosa will be the principal speaker at the annual women’s conference there.

· We are asking for prayer concerning our automobile situation. Our ‘94 Corolla has been an amazing little car but with over 250,000 miles and lots of trips to Mexico, it is starting to spit and sputter a little. So we are asking the Lord for something a little bigger and newer.

· Rosa has been dealing with some health issues. Will you join us in praying for a complete healing for her.
